Allen W. Roberts School offers a supportive, yet challenging, child-centered learning environment where the faculty and staff combine their efforts to make each day unique and rewarding for students. Through a collaborative effort, parents, teachers, and administrators work together, providing the students of Allen W. Roberts the skills necessary to be responsible citizens in the dynamic global society of the 21st century.

Our professional staff is dedicated to meeting the needs of all children and participates in ongoing professional development throughout the year. At Allen W. Roberts, we value time for articulation and collaboration, which allow our staff opportunities to share their knowledge and experiences as well as learn from each other. We strive for an atmosphere where our students, staff, and parents/guardians feel proud and committed to supporting each other.

We are honored to partner with parents and the community, including the PTA, who is fully engaged in school projects and programs that support school and district goals. Parents volunteer their time in classrooms, support extra-curricular programs, and lead numerous after-school and evening activities that help our students connect with one another and the school. Our PTA has raised considerable funds to enhance learning spaces, such as the updated media center and the beautiful courtyard. The PTA also sponsors teacher wishlists and helps with the purchase of school and classroom, materials, technology, and equipment. School-wide assemblies, multicultural events, and author visits, are just some of the few programs provided by the PTA that support students' learning and development.

In addition to academics, social-emotional learning and character education programs allow students to recognize their thoughts and actions and learn how they can make a difference. Service learning projects and monthly character education themes help students learn empathy, problem-solving, responsibility, and critical thinking.
